bus nav and mp3
i have seraching the forum and it looks like the bus nav does not play MP3's. i have just noticed that the BMW PROFESIONAL RADIO which is supose to be a MP3 decoder comes with the bus nav? so why doesnt the bus nav play MP3's? is it a software issue?

The Bus nav uses the MASK computer. The CCC computer is used on the ProNav. The CCC has a more powerful processor on it. I'm assuming there must be some limitation on performance with the MASK in decoding MP3. Hence why they require the CCC/Pro Nav.
Nothing to do with business Nav at all.
Both Nav systems utilise the Professional Radio which IN THEORY supports mp3.
But as has been discussed to death on this forum, is not yet available

The decode from the CD/change streamed MP3 track is supposed to be done on the MASK/CCC.
This is why the CD changer or the front load CD can decode MP3's once this works.
I would love to be wrong on this once we see a working solution, however since BMW has been lax on providing info on how the decode is done on the pro radio I will assume the MASK/CCC is what in theroy should do this.
