From what I've read in the forum, there are two different versions of the On-Board Computer (OBC). I believe that there is one called MASK and another called CCC.
Many posts suggest that the CCC is required for Nav Pro.
We also know that cars with Advanced Air Con, get a more advanced (OBC) with some additional functions such as speed warning and trip computer - are these functions of the CCC?
The UK options list states that Advanced Air Conditioning is a pre-req for Nav Pro - is this because the advanced computer (CCC?) comes with Advanced A/C?
Can anyone explain?
Thanks,
Phil.

i don't have proNav or Adv AC
but i do have speed limit alarm (thankfully turned off)
and
extended trip computer
so that doesn't make sense
where, please, in the UK specs does it say AdvAC isrequired for ProNav - ?

For the US anyway, it seems from the plethora of reading I've done, that you get the CCC if you order Nav and MASK without Nav. I seriously doubt that it's the same thing as the OBC or that the OBC is part of MASK or CCC functionality, but I'm truly clueless whether that's the case or not.

Skidster, do you have Business Nav?, if so, this would explain why you have these functions.
Sam, I think you're right, the CCC does not appear to be related to the std OBC functions.
That said, there does appear to be two different versions of the OBC, at least in Europe.
The following thread by jmcaiado provides excellent info on the CCC:

What is it about Advanced A/C that makes it a pre-req for Nav Pro?
Does this mean that owners without Advanced A/C can't upgrade to Nav Pro, even if they already have Business Nav?
