I noticed in a recent post on the engine comparisons in the LCI (08) vs. the MY07 that although the same 360 hp V8 engine remains in the LCI, that the 0-60 time is faster and the engine consumes less gas.
I am wondering if this is achieved through a software tweak, or is some hardware being modified.
I want to apply this , if possible to my 07 550i.

Just make sure you factor in the $1,300 gas guzzler tax on the stick version (if you're so inclined). Kind of dulls the mpg improvement compared with the MY07 (that's assuming there wasn't a gas guzzler tax on the 07... so, I could be outta line here... somebody slap me if I am!)

Where are you getting the 0-62 figures?
BMW Mag quotes 5.5 for the LCI 550. Not that it's the most accurate, but it's BMW's "official" figure.
