I shut my Drl's off on day 1 of my 2009 E60.

Today I decided to turn them on. I expected the only AE's. Instead I found AE's on in the front and LED's on in rear. I had never heard of rear drl's?

Is this normal?

i hear there is a thick stack of paper enclosed in the glovebox as well. It's bound on one edge.

some call it a "manual".

spend some time with it.

Thanks!

I'll try sleeping with it under my pillow tonight.

Yes it does. And the funny thing about it is, .. although the rear LEDs come on, the front ones DON'T. I can't get around the logic for that. Personally I do like cars with these 'side-marker' LEDs and would like the front ones to be ON with the rear. Hence these days I put the light swtich to position one after starting the car to get front and rear LEDs plus AE working.

When I turn engine off, I also turn the light switch to the auto position so the super cool WELCOME lights which only work on that position will activate when I unlock the car. And repeat procedure accordingly....

cheers
