Thats not true at all.....I have USAA, one of the best out there, and I pay around $300 every 6 months ($50 a month) for 100% full coverage, with a $500 deductible.

There are some shady companies out there though....go with any of the "BIG" name ones, and you should be alright

WOW. I have USAA and pay about $140 a month. (I have $1000 ded. on collision and a $50 ded. on comp. because I live in tampa and there are a lot of hoodlums around these parts)

I will second that USAA is one of the best IF NOT THE BEST company out there.

For the young'ins driving the E60s. I am 26 (just turned today) driving an '08 535. I thought I was lucky. When I was your age I had a BMW too though. It was an 82 325e that I paid $200 bucks for.

shit i am getting old

forgot to add... to the original poster, of course congrats.... BUT...

1. If you are driving a paid off E60, how the hell can you even worry about the cost of insurance. Really...
2. If money is of a concern to you, you should have called your insurance company and gotten a quote before buying the car.
3. If say, you inherited the car or you have some kick ass parents that gave you the car, but you have to make your own insurance payment, just work harder and consider the high insurance payment a premium for driving such a nice vehicle, keeping in mind you DONT HAVE A CAR PAYMENT!

4. MOST IMPORTANTLY... dont let something like a car keep you from say, going to college because you cant afford to not work.

5. If it makes you feel better, between my LEASE PAYMENT and INSURANCE PAYMENT I am paying about $740 a month to drive my 535. and in 35 more months I have nothing to show for it. Enjoy your car whether your insurance payment it $30 a month or $300 a month.

My payment is $525 ironically for my car, I pay for everything myself. The money of the insurance isn't a problem its the fact that alot is being wasted just because of the fact of my age. Its not like I drive a sports car or anything like that. I have taken drivers courses too, maybe we are with the wrong insurance. I believe we have State Farm.

Yeah, and money is being wasted because I am single. I know the feeling. When I turned 25 i was so excited about the insurance discount.... next is get married. ugh.

the younger you are the more money you pay,but I am 27 and I was paying $190/mo to progressive.. for my car and truck and $30 for my boat.. but it was expensive, now I switch to farmers insurance man, the yearly payment is like less then $1,000 but I also have my mom's truck and another company truck.
