Congrats ta0sum for your fine new car.

Even a smaller mishap can waste you financially if you don't have a good insurance.

Some 50 a month will not do.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your new car!!! As others have mentioned the main factors for you on your insurance will be your age, driving record and your marital status. Young single guy, probably gonna be close to a couple hundred a month. Insurance varies from state to state, it would help if you updated your profile so we know where you are located.

Best bet if you can, have the car listed under your parents insurance if you can, that way you guys get a multicar discount. If not try Progressive or Nationwide, as they have always been pretty reasonable.

GL and dont forget...we luv pics here, so post away...that way you have before and after photos!
Yes, but young, single guys should see more action with their E60 than most of us old, married guys....

to the forums and damn, all I had at 18 was a POS 1966, Pontiac Grand Prix. Things have surely changed since I was that age...

Thats not true at all.....I have USAA, one of the best out there, and I pay around $300 every 6 months ($50 a month) for 100% full coverage, with a $500 deductible.

There are some shady companies out there though....go with any of the "BIG" name ones, and you should be alright

I'm 39 and paying about $1300/yr but that's 500/250 coverage. Mine is a 530xi('06). THe best part of it all is that as long as I stay claim free(true for the last 5 years) I get 25% of the premium back in the form of a check every year.
Let me correct myself.

The ~$1300 was the entire bill fro both our cars.

The bill for the bimmer will be $660 for 12 months.

Wow!! That's pretty low. Does that include adequate liability?
