Thanks for the welcome! I think I will be a regular on here from now on.
R9NDY I'D LIKE TO THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! I went to another BMW dealership this morning, and it was the fuse that went!!! It only cost me 1.5 hours of labor, and the fuse cost a couple dollars. As soon as I went in to see the Service Manager, I specifically told him I would like to see the fuse tested in front of me. After spending 4 hours at the dealerhsip they finally told me the fuse had gone.
Thanks to all of you for your input, your help cancelled out the other possibilities. The fuse behind the CCC module was my final resort. I did not know it existed until R9ndy pointed it out. I saved $1500.
NOW... The first BMW dealership I went to charged me 2 hours of labor and they diagnosed the car with needing a brand new iDrive system. Should I go back there and request a full refund only, or a full refund and make a complaint?
Thanks so much guys! I owe you one.

You might want to ask them if they can run any test on the idrive hardware and software to pin point the problem. If the software update doesn't work your just burning a hole in your wallet. Good Luck!
