That's my opinion- but I'm sure it won't influence the government in any way.

Personally, I HATE this cash for clunkers program. Once again, without my consent, our government is reaching into my pocket and taking my hard earned dollars and redistributing them to someone else. If I did this to someone, I would be jailed for mugging, but since it's our government, it's ok.

I wrote to my congress ppl last fall when Bush passed this first round of corporate handouts and simply got a canned, "I don't give a sh!t what you think because you haven't donated thousands to my 'campaign fund'" reply.
After that, I just gave up.

I think it's a great idea in the short run. If it will jumpstart things and get us on the right path without sending us into the same downward spiral is an unknown.
