I would be really amazed if that would solve it.

I got the conform seats and too me the noise is coming from the side support bolster. My car is already in for the second time to get this fixed. The first time they replaced some parts of the seat frame, but the squeak came back after 5 days. Now they are going to replace almost the entire seat because I also have some rattles coming from the headrest support frame.

Kiasu,

As we discussed, I tried placing some cloth around the anchor of the seatbelt. For some strange reason, the sound is almost gone. What I mean is, before I inserted the cloth, there was a squeaking noise everytime that I accelerated or braked the car. But now with the cloth inserted, I only hear the same noise on rare occasions. Do you have any other suggestions so that I can get rid of the noise completely? If not, I will just turn up the radio and live with it. Thanks a lot.

P.S. By the way, do you have creaks from the doors? As the kilometers pile on (even though I only have 700km at this point), I'm noticing an increase in the creaks from all the doors. Is there any fix? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hartge530, glad to know the squeaking noise in your car is almost gone. The remaining noise could come from other causes. The squeaking noise in my car is totally gone with the cloth between the seat belt ancher and the seat.

For the squeaking door, my dealer used anti-friction tapes around the door frame and it seems to reduce the creaking door quite considerably. I read in Roadfly that there is another solution using a special lubricant. You might want to check with your dealer.

Cheers!

I must say it is quite absurb that we need to resort to such a primitive way of inserting a cloth to get rid of the squeaking driver seat noise in such a high tech luxury car! I bet Flintstone can do a better job with his road runner than BMW in this regard!

Kiasu,

Thanks. I'll try to get my hands on some anti-friction tapes as you kindly suggested (although I'm not sure if the dealers over here in Korea will have them in stock). And I do agree that it is quite absurd that I would have to worry about squeaky doors in a car of this caliber. oh well......
