The cause of the squeaky driver seat is not the seat itself. Rather, it is the side of the seat rubbing against the anchor of the seat belt that gives rise to the squeaky noise. I have solved this problem on my own and permanently by placing a piece of cloth between the seat belt anchor and the side of the seat which the anchor is in contact and there is now no more squeaking.

Thanks. The squeaky front seat has been driving me crazy....especially since I haven't been able to find the source of the problem. I'll try placing a cloth between the seat and the anchor of the seatbelt as you have suggested.

Maybe I'm not paying attention, but I hear no such squeaks.

I posted the same results a couple of months ago on roadfly and here and never got a response, I thought it was just my car mine has been fixed for months. Although i still get a window creek from time to time if the ac has been on for awhile. Thanks again though we need all owners to help us on these things, kinda looks like BMW is saying you brought it you deal with it SAD but the car still rocks.

3 weeks into owning an E60, I found that all the seats squeak! I'll do that on all seat belt anchors. I also noticed that the door sills are not sticked firmly on the ledge, initially I thought they were teh cause.
