Your right Had to go out and check for myself. Switching map in one side forces the other to change too.

I could also swear that before the first time I used the assist window it was not split screen. I remember trying to get back to full screen when I was first driving home. I think you are right.

ledbettm, me too. First time cranked up system I thought it was full screen. My sales guy took me through all the goodies and I ended up with split screen. My have been an illusion since nothing would have been selected and we started at the basic menu. He was so fast I could not follow all his actions so if it was split but blank I may have missed it. Now whenever I am in the "assistance window" I get the 3/4 options but I have not tried to eliminate it all together or even know that it can.

Hi Forum,

A newbie onboard. Am in Africa, and we don't have any navi CD/DVD rom vendor. Although cars shipping to Africa have Navigation installed and running, we cannot make use of it because we don't get access to navigation dvd/cd rom.
I am trying to setup a project to create a compatible raster/digital map that should be equally capable of being read by the bmw navigation application. Can any one provide leads to making this possible? Like the format of maps, the scale and orientation, the cdrom storage formats etc? Would love to have your support.

Regards.
