HI i have 2004 BMW 530i, my idrive wont work, no radio no sound. i don't have navi so i don't know how to reset it. i mpm is burned out, is that connected to idrive or is there probably another problem? thanks for help.

I think the obvious question would be, did the idrive stop working when the mpm burned out? If so replace it. Check fuses as well if the answer is that the idrive quit at some random time. There is (or should be) a diagram in the trunk as well as many of the fuses...

How old is your battery? The intelligent battery sensor can also direct power to only essential components if the battery weakens significantly. Worth checking.

+1. If you have power, definitely not a fuse. but hold the Eject button and mute button while car is running until you see screen blank then let go. Will reset the M-ASK. Hopefully that solves your issue. If not, disconnect your battery overnight and let it stay that way. Connect it back up, You'll probably have to initialize your Active Steering (if you have) - turn wheel all the way to the left then all the way to the right then shut car down and take out key for about 15 seconds. Anyway hopefully draining your electrical system helped.
