Me too. I also think I spend more time flying around than on the ground...

Here something light-hearted? that might prove insightful :
What percentage of E60 drivers are represented on this forum ?
I assume its probably quite low since most drivers have better things to do that read car forums?
It would be interesting to know :
- How many E60s are out there
- How many registered users there are on this forum
And what do the other folks do ? Just drive about in ignorant bliss of all the things that they didn't know could be wrong with their car
Hey Merv - I have heard both the Std and the HiFi setups - to me the standard hi-fi sounds very thin while the HiFi package has much more bass and the midrange has better definition. I believe the HiFi option gives you extra sub-woofers under the drivers seats. They dont seem to be overly powerful but they do make a significant contribution.
Good luck in the 535d Sport - this is certainly THE car to have!

Mark,
The Hi-fi option is much better than the standard set up but it all depends on what you are listening to. I have a couple of CD's that have been recorded by the artist in 5.1 surround sound and they sound fantastic in the car and you can really feel the base through the front seats. On regular CD's the base doesn't appear as powerful.
Marty,
Thanks for the reply. I have got speakers under the seats in my current car and now I'm wondering whether I've already got HIFI. The car came out of the showroom with the options already fitted. No mention of HIFI on the invoice. Do you have any speakers in your rear doors? Because I don't.

Thanks for coming back to me. Do you have any speakers in your rear doors, you see I have speakers under my seats and am starting to wonder if I have already got the HI FI option?
