I am not really sure about the tax deduction but I really doubt that it'll be that much anyways. I have heard that some 10 year old cars worth less than 10% of the original price tag.

i've heard from a friend of mine in hk who told me there is some sort of tax deduction for people who own the same car for 10 or more years.? so after all, a 10 years or older cars still worth something, right ?

Unfortunately, that program no longer exist. At least that's what I was told

As to depreciation, cars depreciate sharply after their 5th year as annual smog checks are required by the gov't for license renewal.

Actually, if you dont mind the trouble of bringing your car in for annual smog checks, its quite a huge discount buying 2nd hand cars 6 years or older.

Saw a black 520i with 19" M5 wheels this morning. Anyone knows where to get it in HK?

Also, there is rim promotion from BMWHK that 19" ACS Type 4 @ $22000, 20" @$32000, not including tires and installation. Is it a good deal? I really like the 20" but afraid not suitable for HK's bumpy road.

Hi ben,

I am looking for the ACS Type IV wheels too. $22000 seems like a good deal, but I am also looking for the Type 135 18". If you know any good place to get it, let me know, or maybe we can come out and find it together.

Guys

I have order a 530i last Saturday. It is HK$80,000 cheaper than the orginal laist price. It is because the car will be used during the coming EGA in Macau for important person's lim. Then it will be shipped back to HK. The car may run about few hundres KM.

BMW will make sure it is 100% a new car and registered previous owner is "zero"

Does it sound OK
