but it was also on Capt's car, didn't he post a photo of bending his exhaust to fit the bars?

maybe you can try to bend the bar? try with Wilson or Rainbow to do it.

is it a UNIVERSAL fit item?

denting is easy, you just hit it with an iron bar...hard

bending is done by Mandrel, leaving no wrinkles inside the exhaust pipe

Alan, i think you had better take it off or you will have rattles and more trouble,
maybe Capt can think of a solution.

but i heard from KC that the improvement in control was excellent!!!

Thanks Bill!

I have just test run it, below are observations on the noise. No need to say, handling is better than before.

1. When I was still in AK, put the car to "P" and press the gas pedal, there was one rattle like "kok".

2. When I move the car, there are some rattle but not much. Most of the time, it happened when I press the brake to decelerate it.

3. Just before I stopped in front of the traffic light, the rattle is quite obvious but not always.

4. When I move the car again from traffic light, the rattle is sometimes appeared.

5. When I went to carpark and move the car backward for parking, the rattle is very very obvious. Then I tried moving back and forth about 10 times, the rattle gone.

I will say the sound is not actually rattle, it should be kind of metal grinding sound / grit. And I know the pipe and the bars are rubbing each other to find a matching position. Once that matching position is found, there is no more noise.

Brothers....please help. Other than the noise, is there any other negative impact to the car? Worst scenario and last resort is talking it off.

the way I look at it, the vibration frm the exhaust touching the bar will be transmitted to the other parts connected it so the cat, exhaust manifold will have some additional stress. whether that will cause any actual damage in the short or long term, i wouldnt know. if you want to keep the bars, I would do what song bill suggested.
