Looking throught the iDrive menu I noticed a feature for Home Lights - I set it to 130 seconds but I'm not entirely sure what Home Lights are - I thought the headlights were supposed to stay on after the car is parked and locked??? On my 530 D this didn't happen - so do I have a fault?

Can someone explain this feature?

My car is booked in on the 2nd December to have the iPod adpater fitted so would be an ideal chance to get all problems sorted while they have the car.

The home light feature works like this;

After you take the keys out of the ignition, you flash the high beam lever. The lights will stay on for as long as you set it in i-drive. This is to illuminate your walk to the front door.
(and to spark other people in reminding you that you left your lights on)

I think he means the Aux Input.....

There is no official iPod adapter for the E60 yet
