I noticed that my head lights do not turn in the direction the car is turning, I checked the manual and learned that I have to "activate" the feature by puting the ignition switch in position 2 and turning the light switch to the left.

Do I have to leave the light switch to the left all the time?
Do I have to do this everytime I start the car?
Or I do it once and the adaptive head lights will function regardless of the light switch position?

This is not explained in the manual, I appreciate if someone has the answer.

Thanks

im not exactly sure but from my experince in the past 3 days with my new toy... the knob has to be turn to the left in order for adaptive to work.... turing the knob all the way to left will also put it on auto..therefore you can leave it on all the time, and the lights will come on and off by a sensor on your front windshield. someone please comfirm this ..thanks

I have my switch in the left position all the time, then the lights are automatic and the adaptive headlights are active, too.

Everything I've read says you need the headlight switch in the Auto position for Adaptive to work.

So, "activation" is a bit misleading. You need to keep the switch on Auto all the time if you want the Adaptive feature to work.

casper, mr. junior member and john w are right. you need to leave it to "auto" mode in order to trigger some "actions" .

Is there a way to adjust the sensativity of the auto lights so they don't stay on during the day

Assuming you don't have your daytime running lights set on, yes, the dealer can adjust the sensitivity of the auto headlights.

Yep.
Leave the switch on auto all the time and have your dealer adjust the sensivity of the daylight sensor.
