I was looking at alpine website and i acrossed this product

looks very similar.. all they changed was add three more buttons and turning knob to be bigger...
maybe they just modified this since we use alpine stuff on the car?
anyone got any idea?

My Ride: 2004 545i titanium grey 6 speed manual with light grey interior. Nav, L7, cold weather, sport, sat. Modifications: suede headliner, pianno black interior trim, Ipod dock, Mtech front bumper, Angel Eyes, and flat black kidney grills.

The Alpine Vehicle hub Pro is similar to our iDrive systems in many ways. Both go very well in a BMW. I worked on this E39 Touring before the iDrive even came out. The E46 was done after I had seen an iDrive system. Both of these cars have CD changers, Satellite radio, nav/ traffic, multiple iPod docks, HD radio, and a touch screen monitor along with the VPA-B222. You are right, the iDrive ( which came after the Hub ) is similar to the Alpine system.
