Latest update.

Well, heard from both my insurance company, and her company today. Looks like Gieco has taken liability, but claim they only cover up to $25,000, so they tell me I need to go thru my insurance company, so they can take care of this issue, and Farmers can just come after Geico with a lien against them for the money. My insurance company told me today that they want to total out my car, and they will move forward with collecting the replacement money, but I need to pay my deductible. Called my lawyer, let them know what I was just told, and they are going to deal with it. Thank goodness I have GAP insurance.

Now to decide what to get next. Still want a 5, and I wont be down grading from what was just taken from me. I'm really thinking about a 550I now, even though I was loving my 535I. Just dont know if it will be a E60 or F10.

The gap insurance is a saving grace in circumstances such as this. Happy shopping.

So, it been 5 or so months since, so a little update.

I'm doing great physically so far. Back in Oct they gave me an epidural in my lower back, to help with the pain I was having down my left leg, and lower back. So far, its holding up. Go back in Feb for a check up. Still going to physical therapy 2 times a week, which has helped the neck and middle back issues.

The 535i was totaled out. The insurance company paid it off, which opened the door for a replacement, which happened in Nov. Of which to come and find out, they took a week to long to get the check to BMW financial, which left me showing I missed two payments on the in house credit check, which in turn, raised my interest rate. My attorneys are aware of it, and will deal with it, since it is a third party issue. BMW financial was aware of the problem, so they worked with me on the deal. I guess after my 3rd payment, I can refinance, and lower my rate, because of the documented issue.

With all that aside, here is my new to me 08 550i. I miss the quickness of the 535i, and really hate the drag, or laziness, hesitation of the gas pedal on this 550i. The response when you press it down sometimes is But other then that, I love this car. I have already changed out the kidneys ( with no broken tabs on the ones I removed, or the ones I installed), and black vinyl ed out the blue in all of the badges. Need to tint the windows, and RPI the air box, and just have fun with her. Need to take some interior shots

Just press the pedal down faster. There's no physical link between the accelerator pedal and the throttle body these days. There's a Hall effect sensor in the pedal (magnetic sensor). The faster it changes the field... the faster the servo opens the throttle. Or, get the 'accelerator pedal amplifier' that does this for you.

Post some pictures of that other beautiful car [type 180?] in the background!

Sweet ride man and glad you're okay...I'm assuming since there's no update on your son means he's doing okay as well?
