My Ride: 2006 BMW 530i
Default Help diagnose

I have a 2006 BMW 530i with 105000km (65625miles). I bought the car 9 months ago.
I'm having an issue with rough idle. When stationary with engine running my steering wheel is vibriting and with a certain interval I have this jolt of virbration that would go through the whole car that I can feel in my seat. The car feels like it has less power at lower rpms. The car doesnt throw any codes. The things I changed since I got it are oil change, oil filter, air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs, brake fluid, leaky radiator , and my thermostat broke recently it got stuck open. I even bought a inpa cable and installed inpa in my laptop so that maybe it will help me find the problem or point in the right direction. I dont understand most the values in inpa though or what they should look like. I've done alot research on forums as to what the rought idle could be coming from but there are so many different things it could be that I dont know where to start. So I'm hoping you guys can give me an idea where to start. Let me know if want me to post my inpa diagnostics or whatever.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this'll help but try cleaning the MAF sensor first.

I actually wanted to do that, but when I removed it the sensor looked like it was brand new. Do you think I should still clean it?

Unfortunately, it could be any number of things in the areas of Fuel, Ignition or Emissions. Knock sensor, Crank position sensor, clogged fuel filter and a number of other things could cause a rough idle. The fact that it's not throwing any code, isn't going to make it any easier to track down. You might want to bring it to a trusted tech and have him go through it?

Check all the sensors, oxygen, knock, crank, etc. Also, run a fuel injector cleaner and see if it helps.
