Okay I have a 2004 545 SMG .. I was driving it and all of a sudden it went in to transmission safe mode. shortly after it went into N and locked up. I shut car off and it was locked in 5th gear. Towed it into shop on a dolly since it was locked up. The shop said looks like the pump went out since the pressure on pump was dropping pretty quickly. Pump has been replaced, bleeded and all that other good stuff, but shop says its still doing the same thing. Any suggestions on what it could be? Last year I replaced the transmission fly wheel and clutch after it surging and they found metal shavings in tranny. . .

By the way I have the gold mercury insurance . .and they said smg pump is not covered of course neither is the hydraulic unit.
