This looks very artificial. The spraying is never that clean.

It might be that they're catching it at the very beginning of the cycle before the mist...

In my car, te spray usually goes over the top of the bonnet / hood. Is that the way it should be or are the nozzles malaligned?

Thanks Rudy, once again!

In my experience the headlight washers work every third time and every first time after you start the car.
I do not feel the "two stage" windscreen washer lever, as it is in the cruisecontrol and blinker.

The E39 had two "stages" of washing. Normal and intensive. There was a dedicated switch for intensive...

Having tried the headlamp washers myself and nothing happening,
I checked the BMW UK website and they are an optional extra even on the 550.

OK, I know what you mean but still... We are not talking about the same fearture here.

The intensive stuff came out from the the top of the lever.

The E39 only had the two stage system where headlamp cleaning was specified.

My mistake, I described it unclearly.
I said two-stages because there is a position in between the full washing and nothing where you get the effect but it is not as obvious as with the CC or the blinkers.

Try this out. Press the level and as soon as you see water going out, stop.
Renew the operation until you have enough water and use then you wipers as usual.
I don't know if this is a feature or a misbehaviour of my car <_< but it is quite usefull to perform a small cleaning of the windscreen without losing half of the cleaning liquid tank when using a full washing cycle with headlamps.

For the pic of my point 4, I saw that someone was able to get it.

Fred
