I'll tell you the one place that Acura would have beat you.....up my drive-way in the snow

I used to have an Acura RL with the Super Handling All Wheel Drive. It was a punchy car but nothing like the 550. It doesn't surprise me that you smoked the TL. The one thing my RL did have going for it was the AWD. That is the one thing I will miss about the car. Put a 2 inches of fresh snow on the ground and my long upward sloped drive will bring my 550 to its knees.....
Do you have snow tires? My driveway is pretty steep too and the 550i with snow tires never has problem getting out. In fact, it handles BETTER than the X5 with all season.

I agree, it's not worth it.

Yours is just as fast as a 550. They are both limited to about 145 MPH. The 550 is quicker than yours but not faster, as it comes out of the factory.
The cool part is, I have no limiter.. Muahahahaaaa... I ride the autobahn like I own it. (well, not really)

In that case, you might even beat an electronically limited 550 on a loooooong stretch of road. It would be interesting to see the reaction of a 550 owner being taken by a 528 at 150+.

I've always heard our 550's are great at top end speed, but not really off the line. Couple months ago I had the pleasure to unleash the power on some kids in a mitsubishi Eclipse. They were in maybe two body style old model. Well, I thought I was going to sink in my seat as the boys started making the turbo pop and whistle. We were at a stoplight and the road was a three lane that ended in a two lane. The Eclipse had to get ahead or fall behind me. Well, I popped in sport mode and took it easy for 10 yards to see if they were really going to run on me. Once he jump, I jump. I heard all kinds of pops and turbo sounds, but then the sound disappeared almost as they fell behind. At the next light I looked in the rearview mirror and the kid's two friends were laughing at the driver and pushing him in the head. My turn was shortly after the next light change and s as I turned the kid blew past me while his friends looked back at me laughing. ha ha, joke was on them I say.

No snow tires on the 550 but this year I will try. However, on my e39 528 I had "all season" - even those weren't very good. This year I'll try snow tires - may be an excuse for new rims!

Duly noted and rightfully scolded. Looking back on it and after you mentioned it, that was kind of stupid to do that with my son in the car...cr@p, I'm a horrible parent

I wouldn't go as far as saying you're a horrible parent. I can understand a spur of the moment thing, but now that you have realized that it is not cool to put a minor in danger this is what we'll do to you if it happens again:
