I'm new to the BMW way of doing things and am greatful for the picture gallery on this site. However, I am trying to find our what my chosen combination of Titanium Silver/ Grey Dakota/ Light poplar will look like.

I have found a car at a local dealer with grey dakota and dark poplar but would like to know if anyone here has a picture, or link to a resource, where I can see grey with light poplar?

Here's hoping as I will kick myself if I don't like it and have to live with it for 3 years.

Best regards

Here's what I've seen referred to as 'light poplar'. It's available through BMW Individual:

Oops! It look slike I have caused some confusion.

The pictures that you guys have kindly posted seem all to be of Gakota Grey with dark poplar wood. I am hoping to find someone who has the combination of grey with light poplar.

Maybe it's easier if I attach the relevant page of the brochure ..?

BTW - Great resource this!

Regards
Andy - UK

Hi Andy and welcome to the forum.

I have ordered light pop wood with the black dakota and am expecting it to look stunning.
If you want an idea of what it will look like have a look at the GB web site www.bmw.co.uk and build a 5 specifying your choice of interior wood and colour.

By the way I look the look of the log cabins and would certainly be interested in taking my family.

Here is the link.

================================================== ===

Hi itcrashed:

I did not the one ask for it, but I looked the link anyway out of curiosity, and WOW, that is a great link for BMW e60 interior colors, I wished I had seen that link last year before I purchase my new e60! I would had probably choose black instead of gray, although both colors look BMW excellent anyway, but we would expect no less from the genius Chris Bangle and his BMW design team right? (LOL).

Thanks for the link!

Sincerely,

Raymond Presley

I posted on another thread my remark that there is no option of light poplar wood in the new US brochure with MY 2006. http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=8821&hl=
And in europe it has been already anounced in the brochure with MY2005 (September 2004). My guess is that the option might be at least delayed everywhere.....

I took this picture of an X3 door handle at the NY Auto Show today. It's not light poplar but light birch as they call it for the X3 but I imagine that the light poplar will be very similiar to this:
