Can someone please explain why BMW only offers a gray interior roof liner instead of black as well? I think only the M cars get a black one. A black roof liner would look so much better with black or auburn leather on the e60, and it would look just as good with gray as well given the dash is black already. Any thoughts on this?

The anthracite (i.e., black) headliner is a Priority 1 option for 2006.

Sorry, what is a "Priority 1 option?" Is that a term used in the U.S.? I have never heard it before, except maybe in connection with BMW Individual options.

Sorry...as I underastand it is basically a special order item for the U.S. dealers (i.e., you probably won't find any/many cars with any prioroty 1 options sitting around the lot).

It is generally reserved for M5 and M Sport cars.
You can retrofit it though

It was showing as an option on the UK configurator for a while but seems to have been removed so I'm not sure if it's still available here on non-M sport cars.

No.
It is an option over here in Germany.
It's NOT GENERALLY reserved!

OK, in my country you have always only been able to get it in M Sport models, M models and Individuals.
