I have a flashing green light on my light switch after I turn my fog lights on. The light usually starts flashing after I have had the fog ligts on over 15 minutes. Th fog lights continue to work but the light also flashes , can any one tell me what is going on?

The flashing green light (LED) next to the light switch is associated with the Adaptive Headlights, indicating a malfunction. Don't believe it is related to fog lights.

By the way is there a quick way at a glance to tell if a e60 has Adaptive Headlamps? Has that become pretty much standard on most LCI e60's or is it still hit and miss. I have been test driving cars (but obviously in the day time) and wondered if most models have had that feature that I have (and love) on my current e60.

Easiest way to tell that I know of: If the car has Premium package (leather seats) it has them. Rarely some cars have halogen headlights - they are definitely not adaptive.

I dont know that I have ever seen an e60 without leather seats, so I guess that they all should have Adaptive Headlights, that was kind of what I was thinking but I wasnt sure. Thanks.

Disconnect the negative of the battery for 5 minutes and put it back on, check if you have the same problem with the flashing green light. If you do, your into deeper water. If you recently installed hid fog lights without error cancellors that could be the problem. Dont know what was the last new thing you did if you did any , or is it just a problem you have begun to experience for someother reason.

Default AHL issues...

Hi,

I am trying to figure out what happened to my AHL... which now has the flashing green light.

I have attached a couple of snapshots when I ran INPA. By looking at the screenshots; can anyone narrow down what I need to do?

Almost forgot to mention... alternator went bad; so I replaced it, but AHL's still inop with flashing green light.

Ironically, I did install some 80 watter HID yellow fog lights and it seems that shortly there after the green LED light started flashing.

Could that be the issue?

Thanks!
