+1000 OR you can call your local dealer, if they have serviced your car in the past they have you and your car's information. That's what I did, I was told that my car WOULD fall under that recall, however, they had not been issued the parts to perform the service yet. They will call me when the parts arrive.

Had mine done today. Took less than an hour. They replaced a battery cable in the trunk as well as applied contact grease. I heard the service advisor comment that there were several scheduled this morning, and a pretty simple change out of the cable. They change it whether there is an issue or not, just to be on the safe side.

Took a look at the X5 while I was in, thinking about it for my wife. I just don't get the same feeling in the drivers seat as the 5 series. X5 seems too plain for me on the inside.

The good news is that the local dealership aways has a fridge full of any drink you want (non-alcoholic), and serveral types of snacks.

Today I dropped my 5er off to get an aftermarket warranty repair done and my SA told me they will do recall too. Never got a letter but since my car had been serviced there before it came up when they checked the service history.

I had mine done today as well. The shop Foreman told me everything looked fine as it was. However, they still secured the connections as well as the negative terminal, and applied the grease. This is just a "safety precaution" type of recall.

Sitting here now while they work on mine. The SA said they are replacing the positive cable connector and adding grease to the fitting. No problems

Much to my surprise, I didn't have to wait for my letter! My car was in for another service item. My service advisor said my car's VIN came up as part of the recall. They had the parts and fixed the potential problem! Saved me from another trip to the dealer.

Anyone know if I'll get a letter as the second owner with a CPO?

Yes you will, if you have ever gotten service at a local dealer OR you own a CPO you will get a letter. Since your car is CPO you can also call the dealer that sold it to you and you can ask about the recall without the letter. That's what I did, I have had my serviced at Crevier many times (when I had maint warranty) and I called them about the recall, they scheduled me as soon as they got the SIB.
