instead of bmw sending me some pleasant correspondence like maybe some free oil changes or something I gotta find out my baby is possibly defective :thumbsdown: ...... LMAO i don't smell any burning in the trunk I wonder should i just go and get it over with, the only reason im considering this recall is because i got the 04 model and maybe the earlier years is when they made the most Fup's

 

The recall affects ALL E60s from 2004-2009, so it's not just you Bro. I'd say: get it over with, because anytime you can get the stealer to work on your car for free - DO IT!!!!!

Can't, haven't gotten my letter yet. I have called my dealer and they agreed to call me when they have the parts and can do the service.

Yes, according to the recall. While less than 1% of the cars produced have the fault, BMW has chosen to recall all of them to avoid any issues later.

Sorry to jump in here... How do I get on the recall list or any other owner list within BMWUSA?

 

When I called BMW of North America, they already had my name in their database, even though I am not the original owner. I'd call up BMW and see if you too are in the database.Have your VIN ready though.
