My Ride: 2004 525i, Titanium Silver, Gray Leather, Premium Package, Steptronic trans, xenon adaptive headlights, sat. prep, no navigation, bluetooth, ipod adapter

Guys, I have a chance to trade my 2004 525i for a 2005 545i. The 545i is loaded with sport package, navigation, cold weather package, pdc, etc. It is a CPO car with 19,500 miles. I checked with my SA and he ran a service history on the car. It is not a problem car or a buy back, the owner has been leasing a car every two years from this dealer. They are asking $48,995 for the car. I can probably get it down to $47,000 and they will give me $29,000 for my 2004 525i with 30,000 miles on it.
Is this about what 2005 545i are going for? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Mike

WOW I think thats a good price. I would be devastated if I can only get that much for my car right now... Which is probably worth only that much... I think I've checked the KBB on it before and it was about that... disappointing for the seller and good for the buyer... So in that case I'm keeping this car for a VERY long time. I still enjoy it a lot! A lot more than the 1 year old Lexus...
Good luck on the buy.
Good luck on the buy.

If you can get it for $47K jump all over it. I just got my '05 545i w/ 34k miles for $42,800 w/o nav or cwp but it does have Logic 7. You will love it!!!

$47K seems like a good price for a CPO car. As a proxy, my buyout at lease end (see specs in my signature - $65.4 MSRP) is about $39,800 assuming 3 years/36K miles, with no CPO obviously.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'll be going back by the dealer this week. I'll let you know how I do, if I go ahead with a deal.
Thanks again.

It is Silver Gray Metallic with Black interior. Also, I forgot to mention that they are willing to take the new RF tires off and trade them to their tire guy for Bridgestones or Michelin non RF tires. This would cost me about $200. I forgot to ask about throwing in a compact spare tire to fit where the insert is at the present time. ![Thumbsup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/thumbsup.gif)

Spare is standard US even with RFT tires. BTW 4 non-RFT tires should be about $280 cheaper than RFT. Why are you paying additional for non-RFT tires? I would also say that wholesale price for a low mileage 2005 545 is around 42-43 at best. Updated 2008s are already out.
