Default Front brake pad wear sensor always tripped

Does anyone have the pinout for the DSC on a 2009 non-xdrive 528i? I am chasing down an issue with a brake wear sensor being tripped and believe I have a wiring issue. I would like to know which pin on the DSC harness is from the front brake wear sensor to check continuity from the start of the harness (dsc) to the end (driver's wheel well).

Does it trip with the brake wear sensor disconnected? You'd have to first short the wires together though.

Sounds like an open wire or faulty connector. When did the problem start?

Little over a week ago. I would assume the connector is fine because its held in place for the most part. I think I found the wires on the DSC harness that correspond to the front wear sensor just by looking at the color and gauge. I should check continuity at each wire in the connector in the wheel well to the dsc connector with a long wire and multimeter

I think this is right for your model...DSC pin numbers on the module at the bottom of the diagram...you can validate it with the other sensor...

Okay, checked continuity of the two wires from the sensor harness to the DSC harness. There is continuity for both. I really don't know what to try at this point, the only thing left I can think that would be the problem is the DSC itself. Any ideas?

You need to get a code reader that reads BMW DTC codes, or use ISTA software.
