Evidence of MP3 CD Player Upgrade?

My Ride: 2005 530i, Jet Black, Black Leather, Automatic, Cold Weather, Sirius Prep and Radio, Premium Package, Xenon Lights.
Does anyone have any evidence (a bulletin?) that the MP3 software upgrade for non-Nav US Cars is available? My car goes in for periodic maintenance next Thursday and I would love to have the SW upgrade at that time.
My dealer said there was no news about this upgrade yet.
