Would it be great to get the new M5/M6 HUD display on our E60?

Would it be possible to get a software update to get these new features?

Someone should learn how to hack in the e60 system!!Even better, e60 owners should be able to buy a connection wire, plug a laptop to the e60 and download updates from the internet!!

It's for M-cars only. BMW will probably use the HUD for other stuff in the future. I think we are just at the beginning of the HUD-era...

Doesn't the standard HUD use color already??? Personally I really like the HUD option, the only thing I would like is the option to show more data (and let users choose). This would surely only require a software update. I'd like to see RPM (numeric or graphic), current gear plus an option to use one of the steering wheel buttons to cycle through other stuff like MPG, DTE, temp, time etc. Surely not too much to ask????!
