I used to stare at my E39 530 all the time. Something special about that model. But now, I find the E60 just as nice, if not more intriguing. The side lines on the E60 are unparalleled.

I have to confess to being caught looking at my car through the office windows - also I tend to park so that the CCTV camera has a good view, and spend far too long ogling via the monitor.

Nothing wrong with this - long may it last!!

The feeling is mutual. Nearly every morning when I head into the garage to start her up, I smile and appreciate her lines.

Same here. I've owned the car for almost 2 years and i keep thinking that the feeling is going to fade away and i'll lose interest a little but its still there. I usually drive my wife's car on the weekends and i honestly look forward to Monday morning because i get a chance to drive my car again.

The looks are incredible too. I don't think the car screams "look at me" but if you look around at every other car on the road for even a minute you'll see the E60 design has a timeless quality. It always looks new without looking too new or trendy. I hope i'll feel the same way about the F10 after i've had time to digest it, but i'm not sold yet. The E60 wasn't really my favorite until it started to age a little and then you could tell that the design had a lasting quality to it that is a hard thing to come by in the overly conservative world car design (for large-scale production anyway).

I will miss Bangle.

I always look at my E60 after parking it. If the setting looks good I also snap pics with my berry. After coming back to my car I inspect it for dings/scratches and drive off with a grin in my face.

The next car (5-6 years from now) would most deff be a E60 550i or an E60 M5. I honestly have to say I love every BMW car out there. Except the new F10 it looks down right ugly.

I still think the E60 is one of the best designs to emerge in recent years and that the car will be a future design classic. That one of the boldest designs in the industry came from what was traditionally one of the most conservative companies made the E60 all the more breathtaking. Truly a wonderful car, inside and out.
