I purchased my E60 about six weeks ago and they are truly beautiful machines. I?ve started to mod it out, just some lighting changes for now, new wheels in the future maybe. I guess my point is and I have to agree that they are great cars as is and I?m very lucky to own one. ![Twoup](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/twoup.gif)

Wow, i haven't done a defensive driving class in forever. I moved from Texas overseas to Bahrain where i am now 6 years ago, and law enforcement is virtually non existent here. They just drink tea and eat shawarma's and kebabs in their patrol cars! Even if you do get busted, or caught on camera - there's no point system, no court dates. I just paid my speeding ticket from 5 years ago last week!

If you aren't a little nuts about your BMW, why have one? They are a sweet ride. Someone at work the other day said that she saw me looking back at my car in the parking lot and blowing it a kiss. Of course that wasn't true............. but close enough!!
It's a cult and an addiction, but not harmful.

I received my E60 5 Series in 2006 brand new, and it's going to be 4 years old soon and I'm still in love with it! I've owned a car before this (a Toyota LandCruiser Sahara V8) but never loved or adored the car as much as my E60!
I actually wanted the E60 after seeing it in a drama in TV and I just wanted one so much!
Let's just thank Mr CHRIS BANGLE for creating such an artistic work! The E60 design is almost 7 years old and I have to say, it still looks newer than new cars coming out!
Just an unbelievable machine altogether - a true Ultimate Driving Machine!
The design, engine, handling... it goes on and on! And, I didn't have mods either until mid last year and just fell in love with it even more!

I still look at mine from time to time -- usually when I'm walking to the car (duh!)
It's a nice design, great car, nice wheels, looks super when lowered a bit. I'm looking forward to getting the new F10 and now need to figure what wheels to go with that....

The only time it pains me to look at my e60 is in the winter when I've swapped out my summers for OEM 137's. It makes a long winter even longer. But even then, I find some reason to look back after a fresh wash

I always look, can't help it! I've caught the mod bug and done all the work myself. Not sure I'll jump to the F10 right away and I wouldn't mind owning the E60 outright and keeping it; maybe even give it to my child someday.
Also, I've recently thought about getting a CPO E60 M5. Plans change daily if the price is right. I was talking to one of my clients who owns a E60 M5 and he said he would rather have a 550 like mine for more practical daily driving. He said the 550 is still very fast, but much easier on the gas.
