Engine oil additives any good?

My Ride: 2004 550i - AS, SP, CWP, Nav, L7, Rear Sunshades, PDC, Comfort Seats
The only additive that I have added recently was a quart of oil. 
In my opinion, no need for additives we have synthetic oil that does not require anything additional enhance it.
