hey hey hey...i didn't know that if u get the sport package (that the m packege right) u get active steering. IS THIS TRUE?!?!? pls pls reply to my question!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What other option does the sport packege include except exterior upgrade, interior, and sport supension...i thought it's only thos things.
PS: i ask u because my car is on it's way and i orderd with m package but didn't want the AS because i like normal uncomputerized and simple steering.

Personally I LOVE ACTIVE STEERING. It is one of my most favorite features and I will never buy a car without Active steering if it is available on that particular model. I really appreciated the Active Steering when I had been driving my car for a couple of weeks and then switched to my old M3 one day. Driving the M3 felt like driving a bus (because of the lack of Active Steering). Another time when I really appreciated the Active Steering was a couple of weeks ago when I drove the E90, the Audi A4, and Infiniti G35 back to back very aggressively during the Ultimate Driving Experience. What a difference it makes.

[/quote]In the U.S. the 2005 models with the sport package all included AS. The 2006 models offer it as a stand alone option. So as of today the 525 and 530 are available with sport and without AS...the 545 still included it with sport. The 2006 550 will have it as a stand alone option
So for those that have AS...and love it. Why? I ask because while I see the benefits I haven't had enough time behind the wheel to get used to the feel. The e39 to me really handles like a dream...compared to the e39 is the e60 with AS more or less enjoyable. And I am referring to aggressive driving...some would say insane driving. Not manuevering through a parking lot.

1) Reality check...
Anyone that could afford a new E39 can afford a new E60.? BMW seems to have some incentives for repeat buyers, no?

I just read the link provided by JayEll. I noticed how the e39 owners referred to the e60's as "pigs." My girlfriend when she first saw pictures of my car called it a pig. She now likes to call my car "Piggy."
Does the first impression of the e60 resemble a pig? I find it odd that the pig is the animal that most people say it resembles. I, myself, think it has the looks and lines of a shark especially the front side view. Am I the only one who sees this?
