I don't plan on changing the front lights, as they do cost a lot, but the rear, definitely. The front looks better but i think have kinda less function. How much did they charge for the front lights? Back lights?

Wow thanks man, that's a lot of good info!

Actually I got second hand original M5 19" rims first, but traded them for 20" Hartge Classic 2's... Fills the arch a lot better, also now with lower suspension (Koni FSD struts and Eibach Pro springs). All from a shop on Chula 26

As for the diesel tune, I got it done at A.Motor, and WOW, it made a really big difference! They changed the air filter as well to a BMC one, it should help a bit too.

Bodykit-wise, I've ordered the original M Tech one, I agree with you that the reproduction ones are probably more trouble than they're worth. Getting it from Autosport on Chula.

I'm also waiting on a Sebring exhaust specific for diesel, and will change to a bigger intercooler in the future.

I love this car! I love diesel!

One last question, with all the mods on your car, do they give you any problems at BMW when you take the car for servicing?

Thanks!

And some pictures:

Stage 2 with Hartge rims and lowered suspension (and in a big need of a wash):

Hey Pat,

Today I got a set of Eibach Pro springs, but the shop told me that BMW should install them as some "programming" must be done??!! This I cannot believe, the only thing I could think of is possibly raising the headlight level. When you had yours installed did you have to have any programming work done at BMW? Any info would be of great help,

Thanks

Ted

Hey guys, new member of the board here and also in Thailand. I actually have an E39, but have a set of wheels which are suited to the E60/61, so wanted to see if anyone was interested.

4 Breyton Magic Sport 20" - USED
Fronts - 20" x 9.5" Offset 18
Rears - 20" x 11" Offset 26
PCD: 5 x 120

Tires, Front - 275/30R20 Continental Sport Contact 2
Tires, Rear - 305/25R20 Continental Sport Contact 2

Theirs minor curb rash on the wheels and general signs of usage. Nothing serious, they are in great condition. The tires have under 2,000 km use on them, lots of tread still left. They are extremely deep-dished, and with the tires just look huge and imposing. Please see attached pics.

I'm sure your aware how heavy it is to bring these wheels and tires in and how expensive the import/duty is on them. Not to mention how expensive they are just to buy them from Breyton! The new price is around USD $4,000 not including tires, shipping or import duty. I'm asking for 115,000 baht for the full set with tires, center caps etc. If you have any question, just drop me a message or post in the forum. Hope it's alright that I post this here, thanks!

Marc

Ooops. Just updated something about the new KW coilovers I had fitted but posted it as a New Topic in error instead of on this thread.

Anyway, a question: RPM Ram has a steering wheel with the gearshift paddles. Has anyone had this fitted or had any experience of it? Think will do the new LED lights next (rear only)

Cheers!

hey buddy,

U mean the M Steering wheel !

The LED lights are cool but not that VISIBLE difference, only when it's turned ON then, but normally if you installed it then you would feel the change but outsiders wouldn't feel that becoz it's not so visible change, i will change mine to the bit smokey black with LEDs later,

Hey Ziggy,

I heard of this steering from RPM but i heard that it's not compatible for our normal E60s, but they have M5 Gear Knob with the lights and that'swhat i heard that workable, Better re-check with RPM whether once you change the Steering wheel the Gear change function will work or not, If not then Simply WASTE,,

Thanks
