E60 for Singaporeans

So far i have not seen any e60 with white lights. Maybe should see the real thing. I saw PML selling the white light. Are you changing them?
How do u find s60r compared to e60 in terms of handling? I look at the list of cars you owned....530 is a downgrade for you....should go for 545 or m5.

Hi Sg520i,
I have only been in Singapore since 1999. It took me 2 years to get over the sticker shock of car prices here, which is when I finally bit the bullet and bought a used 528i in 2001.
All the other cars I owned were either in Canada, Paris, or Hong Kong. I am used to driving manuals in very congested cities so Singapore traffic is a breeze.
The depreciation on my 530i will be astronomical, but you only go round once, so Carpe Diem!

The S60R does not handle anything like the 530i. It is nowhere near as refined, even in the Comfort setting. It is very exciting when Advanced mode is selected, especially when it is on boost through sweeping curves. The S60R is in Vancouver, not in Singapore.
The 530i is a step down, but truth of the matter is I cannot justify paying $320+k for a 545i upfront, and the horrendous annual costs of such a large displacement engine. I might consider the M5 a couple of years down the road in Canada though. Sounds like fun.

guys guys seems that we hv achieved a critical mass here for a serious gathering. come on what say u? my suggestion is a short coffee session at west coast macdonalds on a weekday nite or weekend afternoon...say 1 hour?

6spdman, where are you from actually??? Yeah...the 545i is so ex. I can't even afford one. 
Westcoast that new mac??? That place is good cos we can display our e60 there
I think all the people inside the mac will drool....

I have Canadian citizenship, but was made in Singapore. My mother lives in Vancouver so I keep my S60R there. Fully loaded 545i's in Canada cost about C$105,000 or S$135,000 on the road. Don't know what the M5's will run.

yesterday i tried the version of my car....press idrive 6 secs....right click 3x left click 3x....right left right click...press idrive...all german lang....cannot understand...but i c some freq thingy...is that radio???
