It is possible to connect direct to 701, the sound will definitely be better, but you can only control the volume of your iPod via the 701. You will lose the steering wheel control for all sources connected direct to 701.

I met with Olivin530i during our last GTG, we are thinking of having a 'lo-hei' GTG during this CNY. Please show your interest if you are keen.

The power supply of my iPod docking station came from the cigarette lighter power. Power from this source is not clean and it picks up noise from the car's alternator. That is why whenever I accelerated, the aeroplane like noise got coupled from the iPod docking station power supply to its audio output. Tapping this power directly from the battery solves this problem.

Do you have any device in your setup that is powered through the cigarette lighter? I hope not. Perhaps we can meet up the week after next week? I'll see if I can help...

hi guys,

have not posted for a while

got an idrive controller from Richard (SLK33) - but was told by Ah Bao that my idrive interface is the older version & will not work with the idrive controller - would be nice to use the controller to switch the interface's video source without using the remotes...

This thread has been quiet for quite a while.

Thinking of a trip up north once again; to let the car breathe. My neighbour (not a show off) with a masewrati quarttroporte wants to come along. Anybody game? Date and time suggestions anyone?

Hahahaha......not much difference between end March and 1 April...

Good Friday is on 6 April, but I gotta attend church. Wife wouldn't have it any other way. How about Sat 7 April? I'll try to ctc the other "regulars" and get their feedback.
