Greg,

Std ones are very effective during the day when its rainning heavily. Whiter/bluish xenons is not so good during the daylight.

Hey Ed,

Do you find it brighter than the stock one? And you figure that the 8000k one does not throw the light as well as the std ones?

I have seen them remove my front light and its not that difficult..... no need to remove bumper..... If you got time later, I will be there to install my 8000k.... about 4-ish...... If you can, pm me with yr number too......

Lastly, the engine mod..... how much and how difficult and when?

Thanks guys.....

My Halogens on my 5er has better visibilty on rainy days then the 7er with Zenons. but during a dry night, the zenons shines better. So, with a combination of both is nice.

The problem is not the brighness. Most of the white light gets reflected back by rain and fogs. Lights with color temperatures of less than 6000K will be thrown further under the same conditions.
Firstly, I think Lexus uses 6000K bulbs.....

Anyhow, I understand this light vs fog/rain thing cause when I rode to Malacca some time back with WHITE lights and it had been raining and then the fog came, it was horrible..... so had to use high beam..... In fact, that's what I do during low vis..... turn the 'Rings of Fire' on and turn on the front fog lights.... if need be, use the high beams........

However, these occurances are not common in Singapore (fog and heavy heavy rain)..... so I guess its alright, plus we have back up systems too (high beam and fog lights).....

Thanks guys for the heads up anyway.....

Set then.... become like those damn taxis..... one side shine upwards and the other normal beam..... alternatively, install one side halogen, the other Xenon..... BMW Hybrid Lighting system...... Adapting Adaptive Headlights........

halo all!!
yo Adrian... ya got my Eisenmann liao.. hehehe.. quite shiok.. but I think it will sound much nicer on a 645 or 650/M6. I think the sound will be tighter/punchier..
I believe DMS still has no ECU upgrades for the N52 engine..I confirm with them liao.. been communicating with them constantly... The Valvetronic engine. damn hard la...think BMW maximize it liao..

I hope a SC kit will be out soon, then... hehehe... I will be the 1st to jump on-board...

The H&R springs.. ok.. but still soft when I corner... I think for me, I need the PSS9 def... I am mad/nutty... heehehhe

Waiting for the RD Pulleys... arrg...!! And hope some brand comes out with a Header!!!

Rob did one of the e90 330i with N52 engine before her on the island. he charged half price coz the gain is not that much and only felt at high rpm. The N52 is well tuned engine. I believe the 2.5 litre N52 detuned on the 523i or 323i have torque limiter that rob is having hard time try to break that. That should be the case otherwise why not pay for 523i and get a 525i performance. Similarly in the US the 525i is the detuned of 530i.
Maybe oneday he will outsmart those engineers in munich.

lmk, OT OT..
i have not plunged on the Magico Min but very tempting if i can live with the limited 40Hz LF extension... it is one hell of speaker design, very accurate but darn expensive and there is very heated debate over it in TAS if they are justified. I learned of one world renowned local music professor/composer in sg is auditioning them and will be pairing them with a Goldmund Telos. Ah.. indulgence.

hi Zag bro...
yes, I think the N52 engines are all fully max out... can't probably do anything much... unless Turbo charge/SC... like the new 335i... which uses the N52 3.0L engine.. and put 2 "piss piss" snails inside...
I believe soon, either Technik or Infinitas will come out with an SC/Turbo kit for the 3.0L N52...
