are you charging the ipod video while it is in the dock? meaning you had split the 12V from the lighter?

Hi Doc,
Yes! iPod is charging while in the dock. Instead of cutting the cigarette lighter adapter, installers just connected the positive and negative to a wire and hid it behind the dash (properly insulated of course).

Yes; clear for all when stationary. Did not witness whilst on the move. Its hidden behind the bumper. Don't know what it looks like. I was thinking that I've already spent so much for a TV module, etc, so whats another 300 to make it work well.
You got your new antenna ? How was the quality of the picture now?

Got the software updated to l-05-09-510-050509 or 050905 something like. What CIP is this? They turned off my mirror folding with lock option.
The car seems to be a bit more perky. Haven't experienced any pulling back effort instead of surging forward when one steps on the gas, but then again I have not driven far.
The other thing is I notice the idrive and entertainment system shuts down about 1 second after ignition off. Used to shut together with the engine. Maybe that will help my CD/Changer randomly changing track behaviour.
BTW, when I was there this morning, I saw on the CSA's computer screen my car had a tick against the recall column. Asked that fellow but he did not answer my question.
Also got the aux in installed. Now will start venturing. I was told I got the last piece in stock (and they did not reserve it for me and did not jot that down in my work order) and 5 minutes after I left another guy went in for the aux in installation also; any of you?

Not ironical but pitiful. This chap is dying to drive an E60 but can only afford an old Merc E200.

I am afraid I was the unfortunate one. Even the booking was done beforehand.... and all the CSA said was sorry and sent my 7-month pregnant wife (who helped me send the car in while I was away) on her way home...sigh.
I might have seen your wife waiting there.

I am thinking of changing my Goodyear Eagle F1 GD3 tyres on my style 124 18 inch rim. Any recommendation from any one? Someone recommended the Michellin Pilot Preceda and told me it is a very quiet tyre. I am looking for a silent tyre. Thanks.

I've always had a thing for Michelins. My wife says the logo looks a little like me, but really, I like the grip and the quietness. Conti Sports Contact 2 are also okay as far as noise is concerned but the grip on these tyres are not as good as the Michelins. Try the Michelin Sports 2. I'm using them right now and they're just great. I'm sure you will find them a tremendous improvement from the Goodyear you're currently using.
