What is the latest price PML is offering? Do they still offer the pre launch discount?
I heard that for the 530i they've reduced by $3K of the $7.5K prelaunch discount.

If you want better discount, go to authorised dealer like Teo Tian Seng, Tanglin Cars and Hin Lung. They will get you a cheaper car.

I got it from PML... $245K.

Yeah, the steering goes click click click during lock to lock parking manuever. Damn sian! Bringing in Jan 5 to get PML fix up everything before I start yelling at BMW Asia.

Also do you notice if PML polish the paint on hood/ boot and roof putting lots of swirl marks on them? I yelled at the delivery center guy. apparently the cars have been sitting under the sun and rain as I could when I was at the center. Guess they have problem holding 100s of e60 ready for delivery.

Any of you here sepang e60 test drive?

Used to get my last two bimmers for Hin Lung. The discount is not enormous and mainly tied to large loan and tenure and they passed the savings from scrap papers etc. etc.

I decided this time to get from PML direct! I get the sales rep to get me on the plane to sepang for e60 full try out. After that trip and hi speed drive (220kph on NS hi=way) I really appreciate the ability of the handling characteristics and stability of the car.

Hi..
yes you are right. I have the same experience with active steering while driving through the pool of water. I didn't have to hold on tight like my previous bimmers.
the active steering stiffen up tremendously.

I collected my e60 530i (silver grey/ black) last month towards the end of Nov. I have 1800 km on it now. So far road holding has been fantastic and cornering is very very sharp, but I have experienced wheel spin during take off at turns with DTC cut in on wet road and I wasn't gunning it. The run flat tyre thing is still a mystery to me.

However I have had this problem not sure you have noticed it:
- door creaks - PML yet to fix for me
- FM radio reception is poorer
- steering turn with clicking noises - PML still diagnosing

cheers
Hi zag, my doors do not creak and neither does my steering click. But the FM radio reception has static sometimes. One thing I realise is that if you push the accelerator hard, the engine tends to "jerk" when the car takes off. One has to press the pedal gently for a smooth acceleration. I guess it is because the 520i engine is not powerful enough for instant acceleration.

I must say I am really glad we have this place to come to to share our experience of the E60 in Singapore. I think PML should start a forum like this for Singapore BMW owners.

Cheers!

Hi 520i, actually, I got a total discount of S$14,300 as follows:

1. Pre-launch discount of S$7,000
2. Corporate customer discount of S$5,000
3. HP financing rebate of S$2,300

So, total discount is S$14,300

And you deduct this from list price of S$211,500, I paid S$197,200.

For those who register the car in 2004, there is also an additional 1% of GST. I wonder whether PML is going to absorb that.

The look of E60 grew on me day after day. I find the car more and more beautiful each passing day.

Fortunately, I did not succumb to pressure and buy the Merc E240.

Hi Zag,

$245K is a pretty good price. So how do you get an additional $6000 discount over the $251 list price?

Do you have Dynamic Drive on your 530i?
