Seems there's only the 3 of us left in this forum; russo, tategoi and myself. Whatever happened to the rest of the gang?

Russo, ask you about the Honda Jazz. Do you know which budget installer is familiar with the Jazz?

Loitering around undercover. Nothing to add so have to keep quiet.

Can't commit to the Malacca trip at this point.

Just collected my ride from PML.? They claim to have upgraded my software to version 15.2.? However, I don't feel any different and all my settings are still the same; no change.? Anyway, maybe I'm just paranoid.

Also, I complained about a rise in fuel consumption.? Their explanation is that I have not reset the consumption and therefore the reading got "stuck"?? Anyway, I will now try the tried and tested method of manually recording mileage and petrol filled to see if my consumption is indeed on the high side.

Do you know how to get to the secret menu? There was a thread talking about this particular entry in one of the sub-secret menu. Mine is suppoedly 13.2 or 13.0. The reading there ends with 500. Tategoi said his is 13.2, and it ends with 500 too. Someone commented 15.0 or 15.2 should have 550. I am not sure if that refers to the software version but at least you can check that out.

And, there is another hidden menu in the trip computer section. It seems one of those entries controls how the fuel comsuption is calculated. I messed around, and got something like 5.6km/100l (worse than when I first got my car). I reset the portiong, now I am getting 8.X/100l (better than when I first got my car). However, the full range doesn't seem to be affected; it's just how it's calculated. Handcalculation is still more accurate. So I would suggest "calibrating" against your manual calculation. In my last car, the computer was consistently 3-6% more optimistic (with hundreds of manual calculation; kept a log for 3 years!)

Manual calculation had been consistently 0.5L more for every 100Km. My trip computer is showing 12L/100Km, but manual is 12.5L/100Km.

Stranger, your consumption is damned high man. 8.xKm/100L? Wow?

Ok you got me.

Ignore the 100. It's 8.xkm/L; switched the display to this already but mentally still confused cause so used to the xxL/100km display for so many years.

Sent in my ride today for the bluetooth and aux input retrofit + software update + fix some minor stuff

Got a E60 520i loaner....hey Zag is this the same one you got last time?, it's black with grey interior SFQ 22**

First impression is..damn! the tires are a lot more quiet. The ride's quite a bit less firm as well...could be partly due to the fact that prior to the last Sepang trip, I pumped my tires to max recommended pressure.

Cant really get used to the lack of omph in the mid range though...otherwise, that 2.2L inline 6 is pretty sweet!
