hi all,

i am new to this forum. stumbled on this forum only yesterday while searching the web for the Ipod receptacle to be installed.
have owned the 520i for more than year now, one of those first few guys that book the car without seeing it.
was invited to Sepang for the launch and love at first sight.

noticed some problems mentioned in this forum like jerking, stalling and squeaky sound....all present in my car!!! lucky or unlucky? some were rectified and some were not. Not forgetting my power windows refusing to be wound up!

learned alot of technicalities from this forum, very interesting.

Having owned S320, C200 kmpressor, driving this E60 machine is really an experience. i swtiched from MB to BM! too much problem with C&C, from complaining to lawyers... sounds like some who has threatened PML huh?

by the way, my next car will be a BM for sure until PML screwed up!

for those like Tategoi, who like good sound, i am installing my ADS system this week. i have tolerated for more than a year on the factory installed sound system. time to throw them away. can't stand anymore.

will see whether my Ipod sounds good by this weekend.

i always love the look of the Bi zenon headlights, but till now, i still cannot have them installed in my car....just envious those 530i owners only....uh...also those new 520i too! if i have them, i will definitely put in the Philips bulbs! looked gorgeous!

my car is completely stock look. original rims, tyres and paint (silver grey)...i am not those who drives fast on the road. max 110km/hr but still have 12 demerit points on my records....speeding on a 70kph road on farrer road/adam road. caught twice! so i went to USa to get a passport detector...finally found those who caught me hiding on the overhead brigde! i even park my car and went up there to take a picture of those on duty. told them jokingly, i am posting your location to warn other drivers not to drive fast on this road...

arming with a detector with confidence, pay back time, speeding on highways without getting caught. "touch wood" so far so good.
this car is superb! quiet, stable handling, and feel safe!

overall, i love my car, too bad the tax is too high here to buy a 545i (would love to , but too many other commitments $$$) would love to see Edlee's car.
Edlee, please don't sell or return your car to PML yet, i want to see it!

i am using Escort solo s2, all radar bands plus front and rear laser. software upgradeable. battery operated and can slip off the sucker bracket in 1 second in case you see cops.

hmmm...i already got booked when i was driving because i am a naughty boy.
speeding, that is.

while i was on the over head brigde, i am a good citizen because i urge all drivers to slow down while driving on this road....that means safety! isn't this what the they want us to be? instead of hiding, allowing unknown drivers to speed pass the road and hopefully they can book speeding drivers, by the time they sped pass, they may already cause an accident instead of deterring!

by the way, sometime last year, i was driving in malaysia and was having a coffee break along Malacca. i saw a spore car with number plate different btw the front and the back. this can avoid the laser camera in taking pictures of his real car no.!
also, i heard ( although i am still finding) there are some number plates that look the same as our number plate from PML, but when the laser cam try to take pic, they only see white! not bad! it is just like taking a picture of yourself in front of a mirror.

did you get snapped near the adam/farrer overhead bridge by the japanese assoc?
Notorious place for speed camera. If you notice there is a speed check sign just after the red light across from SICC.
