My Ride: 2004 BMW 530i - no mods. Pretty basic really. I mean it has tires, windows, and a sweet look, what more could a man want? Honestly, I'd like to improve the sound system mildly, and possibly find a worthy engine mod that would increase my BHP by 100 without giving an arm and a leg for. I don't think it's out there, so I'll stay stock and love driving my 530i.

I hade a faulty receiver for the remote for a couple of weeks. During this time I had to open the door with the metal key inside the remote. This would of course trigger the alarm to go off until I inserted the remote in the car. During all this occasions, but ONE, the alarm horn would sound alone and not very loud. During ONE occasion, the alarm horn AND the ordinary car horn sounded and this was much louder. Isn't that the way it should be?

My alarm won't even go off anymore even if I kick my tire.

Just thought I'd resurrect this thread.
Here, in the UK, the alarm is incredibly quiet, and consists of a constant beeping noise.
Is there any way to increase the volume? Will a louder siren make a difference?
Thanks.
