I know you don't exchange wheels. Another wheel you had, I thought, would be the E92 M3 Reps that were black between the spokes, and of course, the machined surface. I will try giving you a call on Monday.

Thanks, Ed

OK, I found a set of E60 M5 OEM wheels, had them sent to Wheel Collision Center in Bath, PA. They stripped them to bare metal, painted them black, machined the face of them like the Style 220 M3 wheels (and the red BMW in the above post) and clear-coated them. Man! These wheels are drop-dead gorgeous. I just ordered a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus all season tires in 245/35-19 and 285/30-19. Both sets of tires are 25.8" in height. They are the largest tires I feel comfortable with to not rub.
It was a rough decision to purchase these and have them reconditioned rather than buying replica wheels. What won me over was the picture of the Red 5 series in the above pictures. Buying wheels is not something I do regularly. My wife had a fit when I told her what the wheels would cost to buy and recondition, but after she saw the picture, she agreed to do this (mainly because it is her car).
If it was my 1929 Buick I would still be begging and she would still be having a fit. If I can figure how to post a picture I will put them on here.
I appreciate all the information and pictures all have posted.

Ed
