FYI - just to share:

Last Sunday night after feasting on Thanksgiving leftovers, around 11pm...coming from Maryland headed north to PA on I-83, right after the border, on a loooong straightaway, cruising at around 85 mph, I decided to gun it to about 130 mph!

car did not miss a beat after all, acceleration was quick to reach 130 on the dial! car didn't even feel like lifting from the wind underneath - nothing at all other than things coming by so quickly, steering and handling was solid! i knew there was still room to go past 130 maybe next time. btw, i was just on auto mode didn't do steptronic, just stepped on the pedal and off she went! did about 5 secs at 130 and decelerated, worried about crossing deer and cops!

i only have a 530i and i can just imagine what the big boys can do! i must say this is enough for me after all its not like i can get to do this everyday.

the following morning, there were at least 4 dead deer in the median! i recall reading a couple of posts making 150mph.
