This happened to me in my MINI last year. It only happened once. I was turning a corner and suddenly my door just popped and swung open. When I pulled it shut, I noticed the door was still locked. Very curious and I hope this is not a normal thing. Make sure you're wearing your seatbelts, folks.

Coincidentally, there was a police car about 3 cars back. I did not get pulled over nor do I think the police noticed the door swinging open.

No, It wasn't like that (lol). I'm sure most on this forum are safe drivers and we wear our seatbelts.

I would consider that a possibility as I was in the middle of a line of 10 MINIs (a club drive) when it looked like the cop was tracking our speed.

Nope not like that. This is my second BMW and I've never taken one to those limits...

I enjoyed the humor you guys had with my post and thanks for the help. Never did take it in to the dealer but I'll eventually talk to them the next time I go in.
