I'm not sure if I caused this or not so I'm posting here to see if it has happened to anyone else.

I was, as usual, getting to 60mph as fas as possible when I saw the patrol car up ahead. I got off the gas and on the brakes as fas as possible and the next thing I know my door opened. Going down the highway at 60+ and my door cracks open?

It just happened this afternoon so I have not talked to my dealer yet.

possibly your door latch was barely engaged, and when you hit the brakes, the chassis flexed and the door popped open.
you do slam your door good when closing it, right?

I'd say, try to get to a place where you can safely do a few runs and see if you can induce this to happen again. If you can get the door to pop open again, when you KNOW you closed it tight, you need to take this car to the dealer.

I've never heard about anyone else having a similar experience though.

Weird. Maybe your door wasn't fully closed and then gapped open when you hit the brakes hard.

maybe you thought you were deploy your dragster parachute and pulled the door handle instead.

wow the car sees them cops and then the door opens for u eh, lol does it tell u to tuck and roll hehehe jk. Did you lock the door fully ? Try to lock them doors first, try again with a hard brake, and see if it opens again !
