door mirror question
I've noticed on the car I've bought the passenger mirror has been replaced. The car is configured with power fold mirrors but this one doesn't have power fold functionality. I've inspected one on my wife's car and noticed that on hers there are 2 additional wires (white and yellow) going to power fold motor that are missing on mine. To make things even worse, the mirror glass was replaced with some old or aftermarket glass. The mirror assembly has 4 pin connector and the glass installed has 2 connectors only. Does anyone know the pinout for the 4 pin connector? 2 for heating element and 2 for auto dim? I have taken pictures of both mirrors and glass (mine and my wife's) and I can post them if that would be helpful. I tried my wife's mirror on my car and auto dim works fine. Do we have info on mirrors documented somewhere? There were different options for shadow line or what not.
I called stealership and they give me the quote along with the part numbers (mirror assembly is sold separately from mirror glass). Real oem web site suggest that part number is for the cars manufactured before 2007 but mine is 2010 (5/09). The mirror assembly I have currently installed is 01/09/05, probably January of 2005 since it's European car.

Man !!! you re making a big issue over a mirror . You notice that it was probably replace cause you started to inspect the car inch by inch . I bet you if you were to sell the car right know the way it is no one will notice . My advance leave it like that you will spend a couple hundreds dollars trying to place it with an OEM . Just saying brother but its your wallet .

thanks for the advice man. I noticed that fold didn't work but I can care less for that feature. Though when I was driving at night and only 2 mirrors had auto dim enabled that was quite obvious and annoying. If I could fix the auto dimmer, I would be happy.
